   The Milky Way is a massive spiral galaxy that contains billions of stars. It is estimated to be about 100,000 light-years in size, which means it would take 100,000 years to travel from one end to the other at the speed of light. The Milky Way is also believed to be around 13.6 billion years old, making it one of the oldest galaxies in the universe.

   One interesting fact about the Milky Way is that it is home to our solar system. Our sun, along with the planets and other objects in our solar system, orbit around the center of the Milky Way. It takes around 225-250 million years for our solar system to complete one orbit around the center of the galaxy.
