What Is Macro Photography?
Macrophotography is a form of close-up photography, originally developed for (SCIENCE) research. The strictest (DEFINE) of macrophotography is that the subject is photographed at 1:1 magnification – in other words, the subject is life-sized in the photo. However, most people use the term “macrophotography” to refer to any photograph that depicts a close-up and (EXTREME) detailed image of a small subject. Macrophotography as we know it began in the early 1900s, when F. Percy Smith began photographing insects using much of the same (EQUIP) we use today. In the 1950s, the invention of the SLR film camera made macrophotography more widely available. Today, there is a wide (VARY) of digital cameras, lenses, and other tools to help in the production of macrophotography.
