Fortune traditions

Across different cultures,                          (FASCINATE) traditions and customs exist that are associated with either good or bad luck, showcasing the rich tapestry of global diversity. Exploring these traditions provides an insight into the variations that exist from one place to another.

In the United Kingdom, for instance, the number 13 is deemed unlucky, prompting many individuals to alter their house numbers to avoid this supposedly ill-fated digit. Conversely, the number 7 is widely regarded as fortunate, leading many people to choose it when participating in                          (COMPETE).

In China, numbers 6 and 8 are believed to bring tremendous health, wealth, and overall                          (HAPPY), while number 4 is associated with bad luck. This belief is so deeply ingrained in certain regions that individuals are willing to spend substantial sums of money to acquire a phone number featuring these "auspicious" digits, while                          (ACTIVE) avoiding those containing multiple 4s. Additionally, the colour red is considered a symbol of success in Chinese culture.

In Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries, number 15 is considered lucky, whereas in Sweden, number 3 is believed to bring the best fortune, as the saying goes, "good things come in threes."

These examples illustrate how, regardless of one's location, a plethora of traditions and customs exists that carry an                          (DENY) association with good or bad fortune, adding to the cultural richness of our world.
